Testimonials
Our son, has been at MindWare for 2 years now. We took him out of the Public School system because he was falling behind in his classes and was being bullied to the point he was in tears every night. He started at MindWare in September 2006 and was 12 years old - going into grade 7. As he leaves MindWare, he holds his head high and his confidence has increase 100%. I know that by the way he talks about school he enjoys it. At MindWare he is not judged for not being "normal" - at MindWare he is normal!
One of our proudest moments for him was last year. He came home from school and told us he was going to give a speech to the Grade 8 graduating students on behalf of the rest of the students at MindWare. We never would have thought that he could have gotten up in front of his peers, teachers, peers' parents and us and given the speech he gave. There were several with tears in their eyes. We have watched a frightened, timid little boy grow in the two years he has been at MindWare where we didn't think he would. If he had stayed in the Public School system, he would not be where he is today and ready to graduate from Grade 8 with a smile on his face and confidence in his step.
We look forward to and are apprehensive about him re-entering the Public School system, but he is determined that he is ready. Two years ago he would have fought just going to school. Although he is anxious about it - bigger place, more students... He is beginning to believe that he is not the person he was or would have been if he had remained in the Public School system for the past two years.
We are very proud of the man he is becoming and MindWare has played a very big part in that growing experience.
